When I was a kid, an old school bus converted into a traveling bookstore called The Bookmobile pulled into our school parking lot twice a year. I spent the months between visits carrying a crumpled five-dollar bill in my pocket, terrified I'd miss my chance to disappear into another world.

I've been chasing those worlds ever since.

These days, I write stories about girls who venture into dark places, uncover dangerous secrets, and discover that the things we fear most aren't always the things we should be afraid of. 

My fiction lives somewhere between the eerie and the extraordinary, where science brushes up against magic, the woods have secrets, and reality is never quite as reliable as we'd like to believe.
